This project delves into societal discomfort and taboos surrounding the human body. A personal encounter with serious illness can often lead to a profound shift in how one perceives their body. Facing one's impermanence and navigating the complexities of cancer treatment can alter this perspective drastically. This confrontation with one's mortality serves as a stark reminder of life's fragility. The perception of bodily growths transforms from mere physical anomalies to potent symbols of resilience, each representing a battle fought and won. For me, these once-feared manifestations become badges of courage and survival.
